Auto-scheduled sub task not appearing on schedule

I created a task with subtasks. I set the main (parent) task to auto-schedule. It auto-scheduled for Monday. I opened up the first subtask in the task detail panel. I set the subtask to auto-schedule. It was auto-scheduled for today. But when I look at the "Today" list the subtask does not appear on the list
